No, creating an account is not required to place an order, you can instead just check out as a GUEST ACCOUNT. If you decide not to create an account, it will in no way affect how your order is processed. You will however, not be able to access information about your order directly from the account hub or gain access to the numerous benefits that having an account allows us to offer you.

Absolutely, yes, that really is not a problem! However, please be aware that by creating an account, you are not actually entering any information that you would not normally enter even if you were to check out as a Guest.

Creating an account does not take any longer than checking out as a Guest and adds a time saving element for any future orders and includes additional benefits such as downloadable invoices, manuals for example that are simply not available to those customers who choose to check out as a Guest.

We NEVER store your payment details such as card numbers, expiry dates etc., on our website as all our payment methods are processed using our payment providers secure servers. In fact we cannot even see all of your payment details even once processed!

If you have created an account, then the Account Hub is your central hub for everything to do with your account and purchases.

The Account Hub is made up from 3 sections, where you can change or add details, view orders, download manuals or material safety data sheets and change your marketing preferences.

The sections and the tasks that you can undertake are:

MY ACCOUNT

Edit your account information - You can change your personal contact details in this section such as your name, telephone number and email address. Please remember that If you change your email address, this will become your new login the next time you wish to login to your account.

Change your password - Allows you to change your password, if required.

Modify your addresses - This allows you to add or change any addresses you would like to store for delivering orders to in. You should always set you Payment Address as your default address (this can be found at the bottom of the EDIT page for addresses) as having a payment address that differs from those of your payment methods will result in your order being unsuccessful due to failing the PSD2 Strong Customer Authorisation legislation. You can only have one default address.

Modify or view your saved for later list - On every product page there is a button that you can use to add the product to your saved for later list. This will enable you to create a "wish-list" of products that you can simply add to your shopping cart when you wish to purchase them. You are able to view simply view your saved for later list, check the stock-level of a saved for later item, delete a product from the list or add a product to your shopping cart.

MY ORDERS

View your order history - Here you will find a list of the previous orders you have placed using this account. By clicking on the View button (the eye icon), you will be able to view the details of that specific order including the status of the order, re-order a specific item from that order or download a copy of your invoice.

Downloads - The downloads section will have a list of orders and their related downloads that to any items you have ordered previously.

MARKETING & INFORMATION

Change email preferences - You can use this section to opt-in or opt-out of receiving our exclusive offer emails and new product release newsletters.

GDPR tools & reporting - You can use our GDPR tools to correct the data we hold in account information, download the data that we have stored on our website, request a report on the data we hold for you and request to have your personal data deleted.

After you have made your payment, Lloyds Cardnet (for Card Payments) or PayPal should return you back to our website, where you will see an order confirmation page with the heading THANK YOU FOR YOUR ORDER, this is confirmation that the payment has been authorised correctly and your order has been submitted to the website for further processing by our warehouse team.

You should also receive an email within a few minutes of placing your order which will also provide a summary of what you have ordered. If you do not have appeared to have received this email confirmation in your email INBOX, please check in your SPAM or JUNK email folder as your email app may have incorrectly treated the email as a junk or spam email by mistake.

Your order goes through a number of stages as we process your order and despatch it out to you. At each stage your order is updated to one of the statuses below, you will receive a confirmation email for your information. These statuses are:

• Card Payment Authorised - means that your card payment was successfully processed and your order is waiting for further processing by our warehouse team


• PayPal Payment Authorised - means that your PayPal payment was successfully processed and your order is waiting for further processing by our warehouse team


• Order Received - In Stock - means that all of the items on your order are in stock and your order has been selected by our warehouse for picking & packing


• Order Received - Stock Due Soon - means that some or all of the items on your order may not be in stock and whilst your order has been selected by our warehouse for picking & packing, it will be slightly delayed whilst we wait for fresh stock to arrive from our suppliers to fulfil your entire order


• Order Delayed - means that some or all of the items on your order may not be in stock or there was an issue found with something you have ordered, and whilst your order has been selected by our warehouse for picking & packing, it will be slightly delayed whilst we wait for fresh stock to arrive from our suppliers to fulfil your entire order or we have rectified the issue affecting your order


• Order Paused - Under Review - means that we have identified an issue with your order such as an incorrect post code or telephone number for example and have contacted you and requested more information. Once we have received the additional information we have requested, your order status will change to reflect your response


• Order Cancelled - By Request - means that we have received your order cancellation request and are processing this for you. Once completed we will issue a full refund for your order


• Order Cancelled - Order Issue - means that we have cancelled your order because their is an issue with your order such as an address discrepancy or if there is an issue with a product e.g., there is a supply issue or the product has been discontinued. We will cancel your order and issue an immediate refund for your order


• Order Amended - means that we have either made changes to your order at your request or we have made a change to your details as a result of a request for more information from you. Once amended, your order status will change to reflect any changes


• Order Refunded - means that we have issued some form of refund (either full or partial) for your order as a result of a cancellation request, an amendment to the order or we have received returned items for this order


• Your Order Has Shipped - means that your order has been booked for collection with our delivery partners and will be collected that day. Within the body of the email you receive, you should find a delivery tracking link for you to follow the progress of your order with our delivery partner


• Your Order Is Ready To Collect - means that if you have chosen the click and collect delivery option, then your order is waiting for you and is ready to collect from our store

If you want to check the status of you order, but you can't find the email we have sent you, don't worry, there are other ways to find out the status of your order depending on whether you ordered using an account or you checked out as a guest.

IF YOU CHECKED OUT USING AN ACCOUNT
Once you have logged into your Account Hub, you can click on the VIEW YOUR ORDER HISTORY button. This will then take you to a list of your previous orders where you then click on the eye icon next to the order that you wish to check on. At the bottom of the order summary, there is a section headed ORDER HISTORY. Your order statuses will be displayed here along with any comments we have made to you, if applicable. The statuses are sorted top to bottom from the oldest (top) to the most recent (bottom). Click on the button below to visit the account order history page, if you are not already logged in you will be prompted to do this first.

IF YOU CHECKED OUT AS A GUEST
You can still access your order information, however it is done in a slightly different way. You will need to request your order history from our website and our system will send you a link for you to be able to access your orders information. At the bottom of the order summary, there is a section headed ORDER HISTORY. Your order statuses will be displayed here along with any comments we have made to you, if applicable. The statuses are sorted top to bottom from the oldest (top) to the most recent (bottom)

Request a guest order history

You can cancel your order without giving any reason as long as we have not despatched the order or notified you of the despatch from our warehouse within 30 days of placing your order. You may submit your cancellation request by using the button below and our customer services team will notify you if this has been successfully undertaken for you. We may still be able to cancel your order, even if we have notified you that it has been despatched providing your order has not been collected by our delivery partners.

If you successfully cancel your order before we have despatched it, we will refund all payments received from you for the goods purchased and the delivery charges you selected. We will use the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction for your refund. This will be refunded as soon as possible according to your payment providers guidelines.

If you have been notified that your order has been shipped, unfortunately you will need to wait for the items to be delivered and then return the item(s) once your order has been delivered. You can find out about how to do this in the question "HOW DO I RETURN AN UNWANTED OR INCOMPATIBLE ITEM"

If a product has been delivered to you and it arrives damaged, is faulty or becomes faulty within 30 days of purchase, we whole-heartedly apologise for the inconvenience this has caused you and assure you that we will do our utmost to assist you and resolve this promptly.

You can return the product(s) for either a replacement or a refund at your discretion. Simply use the Return Slip included in your order's packaging to return the faulty item(s). This Return Slip can be used to send back all or part of your order.

Once we receive the returned goods and have had the opportunity to check and evaluate the damage or fault, we will either send out a replacement or refund you in full, as indicated by you on your Return Slip. We do, however, reserve the right to deduct fair wear and tear from any refunds if applicable.

If a product you have purchased from us develops a fault or stops working and it is within Karcher's Warranty period, then we can only apologise about this inconvenience and assure you that we will do our very best to help you just as quickly as we possibly can.

Depending on the product that is faulty, you will either be issued with a replacement or the item will be fully repaired and tested by our Karcher Academy trained engineers and returned to you once the repair is complete. The decision on whether the item is repaired is solely at the discretion of Karcher UK Ltd and we are solely acting as agents for Karcher UK Ltd when administering this warranty. 

If the fault develops more than 30 days from the date of delivery, you will not be entitled to a refund.

When you purchased your product from Karcher Center JHS, unless specified to the contrary, or you selected a collect and return warranty at the time of purchase, all items sold on the Karcher Center JHS are supplied with a Return To Base Warranty, which means that you are responsible for returning your items using a delivery service of your choice, at your cost.

If you would prefer that we arrange a return for you instead, we are able to do this, however you will be charged for this service and this may be more expensive than using your own method instead. If you paid Karcher Center JHS for a Collect & Return warranty at the time of ordering, however, this return service will instead be offered to you free of charge.

You will need to request a Warranty Repair Or Return Sheet so that we can correctly identify your item when it is received by our warehouse and to ensure that it is dealt with correctly by the relevant team here at Karcher Center JHS. We cannot process a warranty claim without a supporting Warranty Return Or Repair Sheet.

We strongly advise against refusing a delivery if you have changed your mind. If you choose to refuse the delivery, we will incur charges from our delivery partner to have the item or order returned to us. This will result in further deductions from any refund due to you. Additionally, we will not be liable for any extra costs if the delivery partner loses or damages your order. If this occurs, you may also not be eligible for a refund.

While we understand that this may seem inconvenient, we recommend accepting the delivery and returning the item afterward if necessary as this will ensure that your return is correctly managed and any refunds due are processed quickly for you. As soon as your order becomes available for despatch, we will email you with tracking details so you can track your order. We will despatch your items once the stock is available to us or the issue delaying your order has been resolved. If you can't find or didn't receive your tracking email, you can track your order in your Account Hub if you have an existing account and you were logged in before placing your order and click on the VIEW YOUR ORDER HISTORY button. Tracking details will be displayed there against your order.

Our pallet delivery service has nationwide coverage using members of The Pallet Network. The Pallet Network provides award-winning service levels by using 125 independent partner hauliers and more than 143 depot locations across the United Kingdom. It is a fully tracked service, so we will provide you with tracking details once we have despatched your order.

Wherever possible we request that the delivery is completed using a vehicle with a tail lift capability to ensure that you have no issues with your order being unloaded at it's destination. All pallet deliveries are carried out using lorries, so if there are any access issues that could cause problems such as height, weight or width restrictions you should contact our customer services team on 01502 563846 and advise us as soon as you possibly can, preferably before we despatch your order.

Please note that it is extremely important that you are available to receive your delivery as unlike our other delivery partners (Parcelforce, DHL Express and Royal Mail), they will not leave with a neighbour or in a safe place even if you request it. If you miss the initial delivery attempt for any reason, any subsequent attempts to redeliver will have additional charges for each attempt.

In 2009 Karcher introduced the new Karcher Quick Connect system for their Home & garden Range of Pressure Washers. This way of connecting high pressure hoses is now common across the entire range of K series pressure washers.

Karcher Quick connect uses easily removed clips and push to activate clamps to secure high pressure hoses to guns and machines and replace the older clip-system as a way to quickly change hoses when they need to be replaced and for easy removal from both the machine and the gun for easier storage in between cleaning tasks.

A Karcher Quick Connect Gun is connected using either a yellow clip or yellow push button on the gun AHEAD of the trigger handle itself as shown in the following pictures.

Effective from 1st January 2024, Karcher offers a 2-year warranty on all Home & Garden products. If you purchased your Kärcher Home & Garden machine from Karcher Center JHS, your warranty is automatically extended by an additional year. This means all 2-year warranties will be 3-year warranties when purchasing from Karcher Center JHS.

Karcher also provides an ADDITIONAL 3 YEAR extension to any warranty on all Karcher K series pressure washers when you register the pressure washer with Karcher within 30 days of purchase. This extension is automatically added to your standard manufacturer's warranty, so when you purchase your pressure washer from Karcher Center JHS and register your machine with Karcher, your warranty is extended to a total of 6 YEARS.

All Kärcher products purchased after 1st July 2014 are covered by a minimum 2 year warranty period, or as otherwise stated at point of sale. Accessory purchased prior to this would only have a 1 year warranty period.

Wear and tear is not covered under the terms and conditions of warranty. Therefore, if the accessory fails due to wear and tear, a replacement would be chargeable.

Karcher Center JHS offers Karcher Home & Garden customers a full Karcher-backed warranty repair service on all Karcher Home & Garden products, covering material and manufacturing defects.

Karcher Center JHS can provide this valuable service even if you purchased your Karcher Home & Garden product from another vendor. If you are seeking to make a claim under your product's warranty and did not purchase it from Karcher Center JHS, a valid proof of purchase must be provided. Karcher are reasonably flexible on what can be classed as a proof of purchase and you can use anything that provides a date of when your product was purchased, so you can use documents such as till receipts, invoices, delivery notes, PayPal transaction records, order confirmations or bank or credit card statements are all good examples of what is admissible. If you purchased it from Karcher Center JHS, we will use your details from the original purchase and provide the proof of purchase for you.

All repairs to Karcher products within warranty are free of charge (subject to conditions of sale), except in cases of misuse, abuse, or frost damage. A collection and return charge may apply for customers who are unable to bring their machine to Karcher Center JHS themselves as this is not covered under the terms of Karcher's warranty.

Unfortunately, registering your machine on the Kärcher website does not activate your warranty or act as a proof of purchase.

If seeking to make a claim under the product warranty, if you didn't purchase it from Karcher Center JHS, a valid proof of purchase must be provided. Kärcher Center JHS offers Kärcher Home & Garden customers a full repair service on all Karcher Home & Garden Range machines, even if they are out of warranty.

If you are too far away to visit us in person, we would advise using Parcelhero to arrange delivery of your Karcher equipment to us here at Karcher Center JHS. This is the most cost-effective way of sending your Karcher equipment to us. Alternatively, we can arrange to have your machine collected and delivered to us for repair using our delivery partners DX Express. Whilst this may appear to be more convenient, it is however, more costly than booking it for yourself through Parcelhero, as you have to pay for the collection from you and then the onward delivery to us.

If you wish to make use of our repair service you must ENSURE that your machine will be fully boxed. It is important to ensure that you use adequate packaging within the box, such as bubble wrap or scrunched-up newspaper, to provide additional protection around the machine avoiding any gaps or voids within the box. Whilst most parcel delivery companies are very reliable, accidents can happen. Even if we have arranged the delivery, it is your responsibility to ensure the packaging is adequate and correctly sealed. We offer this service on behalf of our valued customers and will not accept liability for damage in transit caused by inadequate or poor packaging.

If you wish to proceed, you will need to request a repair job sheet so that we can correctly identify your item when it is received in our workshops. In addition, If you purchased your machine from a vendor other than Karcher Center JHS, you will also need to return your item with a copy of your proof of purchase if you are having your item repaired under warranty.

As a general rule of thumb, all Karcher Professional machines have a minimum of a 12 month warranty although some machines have 2 year warranties.

Larger machines (that are delivered on a pallet or by the dealer themselves) will usually have an onsite warranty which means that the machine, if possible, will be repaired where it is located, however if this is not possible, the vendor you purchased it from will collect it or arrange for it to be collected. This may involve additional costs that are NOT covered under warranty. It is therefore important to purchase from either a Karcher Center or Authorised Karcher Dealer that is close to your location when you purchase one of the larger machines.

Smaller machines (those that are delivered boxed via a next day carrier) will generally be classed as a Return To Base Warranty. This means that you are responsible for any delivery and return costs for the machine being returned under warranty. Here at Karcher Center JHS, however we will return any machine repaired under warranty completely free of charge. Other vendors may have different arrangements.

All Karcher Professional Accessories are covered by a 28 day warranty period unless stated otherwise at the point of sale. Accessories are classed as any product that is external to the machine or are deemed to be "wear & tear" items such as brushes, squeegee blades, high pressure hoses etc.

Wear and tear is not covered under the terms and conditions of warranty. Therefore, if the accessory fails due to wear and tear, a replacement would be chargeable.

The simple answer is yes.

However, normally with Professional range machines the warranty is with the vendor who originally sold you the machine, so in the first instance you should contact them to see how they can help you as it is their RESPONSIBILITY to look after you and your machine.

If for whatever reason this is not possible, we can still try and help, depending on the circumstances, but it is always advisable to seek the original vendors assistance first.

Even if we don’t have the necessary part to hand, our trusted suppliers allow us to order and receive it rapidly allowing us to get you up and running again with minimal disruption to your business.

We try very hard not to use non-genuine or aftermarket replacement parts as there is simply no guarantee of their performance and reliability. If we have to use non-genuine or aftermarket parts, we will always ensure that they are obtained through our network of trusted suppliers, to ensure that the quality and durability of such parts can be trusted.

When health and safety is at risk, it’s just not worth compromising on quality.

In some cases, our engineers may need to remove your cleaning equipment for off-site repair in our fully equipped workshop facilities.

If this is the case, we can provide courtesy equipment as a temporary solution, if requested. This will enable you to continue to keep your premises clean and safe whilst your machinery is being restored to full working order.

A nominal charge may apply to any courtesy machine where the customer is not on a Karcher Center JHS Service Contract plan.
